HOW TO: Virtualise Ubuntu on Vista

You want to create a virtual machine using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 and install Ubuntu 6.10 as theubuntu.jpg guest operating system. In this tutorial we’re going to create a Virtual PC 2007-based virtual machine and install Ubuntu 6.10 as that machine’s operating system. While Virtual PC will accept Linux as the guest OS, it’s not designed to support it natively so we need to make some modifications to Ubuntu to get it working.

This has been tested using Virtual PC 2007 on two machines, one running Windows XP SP2 and one running Windows Vista Ultimate. HOW TO: Virtualise Ubuntu on Vista | APC Magazine
